The BALLPLUS tool family offers 5 insert geometries, including:
A1. HBR - 220° spherical cutting profile:
For profiling, up and down ramping, steep profiles and undercutting. Accuracy is within 0.01 mm. May be used for roughing or finishing applications.
A2. HBF - 220° spherical cutting profile:
For profiling, up and down ramping, steep profiles and undercutting. May be used for high-quality finishing applications. Accuracy is within 0.005 mm.
B. HCR- Ball nose with extended flute profile:
For cavity profiling and shouldering. Can be used for roughing and finishing, due to its high accuracy (0.01 mm).
C. HCD - 90° V-shaped insert:
For chamfering and countersinking applications.
D. HCC - square insert:
For shouldering, slotting, drilling and countersinking applications. Accuracy is within 0.01 mm. Can be used for roughing and
semi-finishing applications.
E. HTR - Toroidal insert with a variety of corner radii:
used for machining cavity fillets and pockets and for machining next to steep walls. Accuracy within 0.01 mm.
