  LARGE PENTACUT PARTING INSERT GOES DEEPER

ISCAR’s popular star-shaped PENTACUT parting insert is now
available in a larger size, which is able to handle grooving depth
up to 10 mm (0.394").
Easily indexable, the PENTA 34 insert provides five straight cutting edges with C-type chipformers. The combination of a very secure clamping system and strong insert design enables grooving, parting, recessing and chamfering at feed rates from 0.05 to 0.25 mm/rev (0.002 to 0.010 IPR). Users report straighter sidewalls and flatter groove bottoms.
Due to the star-shaped design, the insert survives in event of failure on one edge. The other four edges remain intact and useable.
